彼尔姆州立大学的简介




Perm State National Research University is the oldest university in the Ural region. It was founded in 1916 and soon became the foundation for the higher education system of the West Ural. It is situated in Perm, the city that is popular with its ballet, wooden sculptures and annual big festivals. Entire geological period was named after Perm – Permian period. In 2010 Perm University was awarded the status of National Research University, justifying its reputation as one of the leading Russian universities. Today more than 12 thousand students pursue their degree at 12 faculties. University campus is like small European town. There are teaching blocks, clock tower, museums and the Botanic garden, culture center, libraries and gym halls. The wide variety of educational programs in human and natural sciences are provided in such attractive fields as Microbiology, Geoinformatics, Tourism, Economic geology (specifically Oil-and-gas geology), Computer security, Nanotechnologies and microsystem technology, Clinical and pharmaceutical chemistry, Innovation and financial management, Practical philology and etc. There are Russian language courses for international students.
In October 2016 Perm State National Research University is celebrating the centenary of its foundation and acquiring the status of historical university.
